digital diary #1 “kitty girl’s room” @ gallery 217
i had the amazing opportunity to curate my very own space at gallery 217!! this was a part of my senior year exhibition, titled identity. all the way from my initial sketches, knew i wanted to make something vaguely reminiscent of a childhood bedroom or some sort of secluded space.

my earliest sketches included a draping curtain, which ended up making the final edition of the exhibit. some aspects unfortunately didn’t follow through, such as yarn wrapped frames. although that’s something i really want to pursue eventually, it would’ve looked waaaaaaaaaay too busy alongside the other elements.
the entire process was about 3 weeks. this exhibit features pieces all throughout my uni career, even some as recent as January of this year!
the opening reception was on February 15th. it went very well! i handed out complimentary kitty girl stickers.
this experience was absolutely amazing, i learned a lot from it.
